That is the kind of bullshit excuse people use for their homophobic and racist believes. It's how I was brought up. It was a different time. All the same crap the seems to point to the fact the people are incapable of looking beyond what they have been told, learning things like facts and then forming their own individual opinions based on these. No, it's not any kind of excuse at all. Everybody has the ability to learn and grow as people. To change their minds and perspectives. However, some people simply choose not to. Why? Do they enjoy blinding hating people based on prejudice? Or are these the kind of people who think that you can prove anything with facts? It baffles me as to why people think like that.

Couple given £4,500 of taxpayers' money for 'psychic academy'
That's right, two con artists have been handed over a wedge of cash from the government. During a recession mind you. Now this kind of utter bullshit makes me sick. These two are obvious liars and, yet, have managed to convince the government that they are a legitimate business operation. I have no idea how but I have some magic beans I'll like to sell the government.These people cannot contact the dead. Yet they use their "power" to con grieving relatives out of money in order to feed them a string of bullshit. How can these people sleep at night? Exploiting those who are mourning the loss of loved ones is pretty fucking low. However, some people are willing to take these liars at their word with not a shred of prove. They've obviously never heard of cold reading. That and taking people's money appear to be the only skills these two can teach people.
Personally, I think people need to grow up and understand the fact that when people are dead they are dead. That's it. Until they do crooks like Paul and Deborah Rees will continue to steal from the grieving.

Just when you think that The Sun is as low as possible for a national newspaper it manages to sink even lower:

Yes, The Sun went and purchased a sponsored link, from Google, with Natasha Richardson's name as it's keyword. A woman who died an unfortunate death, from a freak accident less than twenty four hours earlier. This after recent online outrage over a cover story that bashed survivors of Dunblane for growing up, going out drinking and having sex legally. Apparently, The Sunday Express feels that the survivors of Dunblane should have joined a monastery or a convent and dedicated their lives to doing nothing. However, had they done that they probably would have written a story in which they would state how the lives of these young people had been so shattered by the events of the tragic day that they are too scared to go outside in "Broken Britain". And on a side note, what a bogus, bullshit, made up term that is. But that is the national tabloids in a nutshell. They will spin any small story as much as they can in order to wind up the general populous and try to start a campaign about it in the hope people will keep buying their papers to see what the latest is.
I would have claimed that The Sun should have learned from the time when The Guardian made the stupid decision to buy Madeline as a sponsored link key word. That, however, would indicated that the people running The Sun are capable from learning or read anything outside of the Murdoch bubble. No doubt they have their fingers on the trigger of buy up Jade Goody's name the moment she dies.

Granted it's a strongly worded title for a piece but I feel it deserves it. Especially, since I got quite angry reading the following article:

Yes Dr Alan Maryon-Davis, President of the UK Faculty of Public Health, seems to think that people are too stupid to make their own decisions and think that the government should be telling us all what to do and, no doubt, think as well.
According to this man the public want the government to tell them what to do. Which is odd. As I don't know anyone who backs this kind of propaganda the government like to put out. Instead of focusing on real problems like the recession and growing unemployment. I'd like to say more on the governments useless approach to unemployment but I feel it's a long rant for another post.
He claims, "I see an increasing acceptance that we, all of us, need not only more information and guidance from government, but also more legislation to save us from ourselves."
Save us from ourselves indeed. Well thank Christ you and your group of know it alls are here to tell us what to do. Otherwise, we might live our lives as we choose to rather than being bullied by cretins like you.
Mind you, he works for the same that praised the recent piece of patronising government propaganda know as "Change 4 Life". Wow, using a 4 instead of "for". They must be so cool. You've seen the rancid adverts no dobut. The ones featuring plasticine men going on about how we "love the little blighters". Seriously. This is the language that the government will feel that will work on the common man. Only, this is what happens when middle-class governmental types think the working class talk like. The kind of tossers that make far too much money and live in a bubble protecting them from the real world. I can't make my mind up with this article.
On the one hand, should this really be a news item. It really should be common knowledge to people or at least people with half a brain. You know, people who are willing to actually go out and learn more about things rather than simply accept the shit that is shoveled down their throats by the media. So I want to recommend everyone read "Bad Science" by Be Goldacre. It's a bloody good book and you'll learn something to boot.
On the other hand, it's a damn good thing because those who do believe in such rubbish can now learn the truth. That it's all a load of bollocks. So good on you "Sense About Science". Now we just need the ASA to pull their fingers out regarding "detoxing" products.
On a slightly similar note, I assume you've seen these awful, patronising Change 4 Life adverts. It's crappy propaganda from the government telling you what a shitty person you are. It tells you how you live a comfy life riding in comfy buses, what the fuck?, and watching you kids rot away playing video games, while you chow down on an industrial vat of buttered popcorn and munch a hotdog. Fuck you people. If you think this advert is "cool" and "makes a point" then fuck off and die. You are a worthless piece of shit and you would be doing everyone who has a brain a favour by dying, right fucking now. Fuck you people. Want to help, try sorting out the global economic crisis.
